With quarterback Casey Pachall out of the lineup, suspended indefinitely for a DWI arrest, the TCU Horned Frogs suffered a 14-point loss to Iowa State that dropped them from the rankings altogether in the latest edition of SB Nation's BlogPoll, despite entering the week as the poll's No. 15 team.
The win for the Cyclones gave them the No. 25 spot in the poll, with the Horned Frogs just three spots behind them in terms of votes.
Also falling in the poll were the Texas Longhorns, although not nearly as dramatically. After a close, 48-45 loss to West Virginia, the Longhorns fell from No. 10 to No. 15 while the Mountaineers climbed from No. 8 to No. 4. On Saturday they'll have a chance to bounce back though, as they'll face the team directly ahead of them in the rankings when the play the No. 14 Oklahoma Sooners.
