Big 12 football standings 2012: Texas teams clustered in middle of conference

A group of teams from Texas are clustered in the middle of the Big 12 standings after two weeks of play. K-State and West Virginia are at the top of the table with 2-0 records.

Kansas State and West Virginia are the clear leaders in the Big 12 after two weeks of conference play, being the only two teams sitting at both 2-0 in the Big 12 and 5-0 overall. West Virginia, led by Geno Smith, won their second straight shootout style game against the Texas Longhorns over the weekend, while K-State took down the in-state rival Jayhawks to get to 2-0.

A group of teams from Texas are clustered in the middle of the pack after the second week of conference play: Texas, Texas Tech and TCU are all sitting at 1-1 while the Baylor Bears are just below them at 0-1.

Kansas rounds out the bottom of the table, their loss to Kansas State brought them to 0-2 in conference play so far this season.
