Casey Pachall, starting quarterback for the TCU Horned Frogs, was arrested for driving while intoxicated on Wednesday night, according to Fort Worth police and a report from NBC in Dallas-Fort Worth via Twitter.
Pachall, who remains in custody, reportedly nearly side-swiped another vehicle while driving.
The Horned Frogs' quarterback previously made news when his acknowledgement of failing a drug test in February became public in August, as Pachall admitted to marijuana, cocaine and ecstasy use.
The 6'5, 226-pound signal-caller has thrown for 948 total yards so far this season for the undefeated Horned Frogs, tossing 10 touchdowns with only one interception. In back-to-back defeats of Kansas and Virginia earlier this season, Pachall threw for a combined five touchdowns, with the lone pick, and 640 yards.
TCU hosts Iowa State in a Big 12 showdown this Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CT at Amon Carter Stadium.
More details to come as they become available.
