Unable to pull out a victory in triple overtime against Texas Tech last weekend, the TCU Horned Frogs will try to move above .500 in conference play on Saturday against Oklahoma State in a pivotal Big 12 battle.
The Horned Frogs churned out 516 yards of total offense and added 53 points to the scoreboard in Week 8, but still somehow came up short after a game-winning pass from Texas Tech quarterback Seth Doege clinched the game in the third overtime. Only now entering the heart of his team's 2012 schedule, TCU head coach Gary Patterson will be forced to play four consecutive ranked opponents to close out the year after squaring off with the Cowboys this weekend in Stillwater.
Fourth nationally at 45.7 points per game, the Cowboys completely dominated an Iowa State team that entered last weekend ranked No. 24 in college football. Freshman quarterback J.W. Walsh has been one of the biggest difference-makers through six games for the Cowboys with 1,467 yards and 10 touchdown passes, and the Denton, Texas, native will once again be a player to watch on Saturday due to his dual-threat ability.
Where: Boone Pickens Stadium, Stillwater, Okla.
