TCU vs. Oklahoma State: Another test for the Horned Frogs defense

The high-flying Oklahoma State Cowboys will be yet another tough test for the TCU Horned Frogs and their defense.

The TCU Horned Frogs head to Stillwater, Okla., this Saturday in yet another game on the schedule where an explosive offense stands on the opposite sideline.

After winning at Baylor two weeks ago and falling in a triple-overtime heartbreaker to Texas Tech this past week, Gary Patterson's defense must stop a balanced Oklahoma State Cowboys attack that ranks in the top-10 in both pass and rush yards per game.

The Horned Frogs have lost two of their last three games after a 4-0 start to the season, and should be thirsty to get themselves back to a winning conference record. At 2-2 in the Big 12, a win over OSU would leapfrog TCU over the Cowboys, who have a 2-1 conference record.

But while the TCU defense must show up to stop running back Joseph Randle and his 765 total rushing yards, the offense must be able to score against an improving OSU defense. The Cowboys are coming off a solid 31-10 victory over Iowa State, which was ranked No. 24 coming into the weekend. That victory is the Cowboys' best this season.

For TCU, earning a road win will be huge considering the schedule gets no easier after this weekend. No. 19 West Virginia and No. 3 Kansas State are the next two games for the Horned Frogs.
