The first weekend of college football is finally here! The weekend will kick off, at least for big time teams in our region, Friday night with TCU visiting Baylor with their nearly two-year long regular season winning streak on the line. The Saturday slate is highlighted by the showdown in the Death Star and the Aggies opening with a bit of a tester at home versus the Ponies.

SMU at Texas A&M (No. 8), 6:30, FSN

Whether most of us get to see the rebuilt Longhorns’ first appearance may come right down to the wire. As of Friday afternoon ESPN still didn’t have agreements with most major providers.
