To add a little icing to TCU’s impressive and thrilling 36-35 road win over Boise State Saturday, their quarterback Casey Pachall has been awarded the Walter Camp National Player of the Week award. Pachall hit 24-of-37 passes for 473 yards and 5 TD. He also led a game winning TD drive in the final minutes and converted the two-point conversion to give TCU their final lead.
The TCU win ended Boise State’s 35-game home winning streak. It was the first regular season home loss by the Broncos in a decade. The win moves the Frogs into the national rankings and into position for a good bowl invitation.
Pachall’s play this season as a sophomore means that TCU has a quality QB in tow as they take the step up to the Big 12 in 2012. He has a 24 TD to 6 INT ratio for the season and has accounted for 2430 yards of offense.
