The TCU Horned Frogs finally played a complete game on the year and it took playing the hapless New Mexico Lobos. TCU had its first shut since 2010 when they blanked the Wyoming Cowboys 45-0. Saturday afternoon TCU forced three turnovers and held the New Mexico offense 21 passing yards and 64 rushing yards which is possibly one of the best defensive games for TCU. TCU for once did not have to come from behind nor did they allow an opposing teams quarterback for a lot of yards.
The offense used a balanced attack with quarterback Casey Pachall throwing for 175 yards and two touchdowns, but most of the damage was done on the ground. The rushing attack netted seven scores while rushing for 264 yards with the leader being Ed Wesley who had 74 yards and a score.
