Texas A&M Vs. SMU 2012: Final Score And Game Recap

In a game that saw just about everything go wrong for the SMU Mustangs, they lost to the Texas A&M by a wide, 48-3, margin.

Offensively, the Mustangs were able to move the ball more effectively than the score would indicate, racking up over 300 yards of total offense and earning 17 first downs. However, that didn't translate into points on the scoreboard, as they were shutout until a Chase Hover field goal in the third quarter.

The defense, though, has very little consolation for their performance, as they allowed over 600 yards of offense and were shredded by freshman quarterback Johnny Manziel. The Aggies signal-caller passed for over 300 yards with four touchdowns and added 124 yards rushing and two touchdowns on the ground.

The Mustangs will face another huge challenge when they travel to face the TCU Horned Frogs after a week off, on Saturday, Sept. 29.
