SMU will try to bounce back today from two straight losses that have removed them from the western division title race when they host the struggling Tulane Green Wave who enter the game with a 2-7 record and have lost six straight.
The Mustangs will try to establish Zach Line on the ground who is averaging a converence best 118 yards per game. They will try to take some of the pressure off of quarterback J.J. McDermott who has thrown six interceptions in SMU's last two losses which is one more than he had thrown in the Mustangs' first five games.
Tulane linebacker Trent Mackey leads Conference USA in tackles so expect him to be around the ball and Zach Line most of the day. Offensively, the Green Wave will rely on running back Orleans Darkwa who leads the team in rushing, pass receptions and touchdowns.
