With the recent news that the Dallas Cowboys will be without star wideout Miles Austin for the next 2-4 weeks, contingency plans are in effect. Austin is by far the Cowboys receiver most in tune with quarterback Tony Romo, and this latest hamstring injury hampers the offensive unit as they try to develop some semblance of consistency.

The Cowboys signed wide receiver Laurent Robinson earlier in the year after Austin's left hamstring took a vacation late in the comeback win against 7-1 San Francisco. The former third man on the totem, third-year man Kevin Ogletree, failed to impress anyone associated with the organization, causing Dallas to bring back the street free agent it had signed and released before the season commenced. Now Austin's right hammy is acting up and Robinson will re-enter the spotlight.

Robinson has definitely turned sunk money into a bargain. Signed for less than $750K, Robinson has performed admirably in his time in Big D. He'll be called upon to keep the Cowboys an equal opportunity offense, as teams will now roll their coverage towards Dez Bryant. Robinson should have more opportunities for big performances. Here's a look at his accrued stats through six games this season.

According to a report by ESPN's Calvin Watkins, Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl WR Miles Austin will be out 2-4 weeks after aggravating his previously injured hamstring in the second quarter of the Cowboys 23-13 victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

The hamstring has bothered Austin all season, as he injured it in training camp and re-aggravated it in Week 2 against San Francisco, keeping him out of Dallas' next two games.

When he has been on the field, asides from his 3 TD effort against the 49ers, the two-time Pro Bowler has been unable to get in a consistent rhythm with QB Tony Romo. Austin has caught 26 passes for 350 yards and 4 TD's this season.

The 6'2 215 WR has already been ruled out of next Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills. The Cowboys are likely to be cautious in bringing him back to the field, especially since the schedule gets easier before a brutal December slate that features two games against the NFC East leading New York Giants.

Austin will be replaced in the starting lineup by WR Laurent Robinson, who has caught 24 passes for 368 yards and 2 TD's this season.

Tony Romo threw for two touchdowns in the second half and the Dallas Cowboys evened their record at 4-4 with a 23-13 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

After only managing two field goals in the first half, Dallas emerged from halftime and responed with 17 second half points. Romo finally broke through in the third quarter when he found tight end Jason Witten on a 33 yard scoring strike to give the Cowboys their largest lead of the day at 13-6. Romo later added a touchdown pass to Lamont Robinson and Dan Bailey added a 42 yard field goal to make the score 23-6 in favor of Dallas. Seattle Marshawn Lynch cut into the lead with a four yard touchdown run with 6:19 remaining in the fourth but the Seahawks could get no closer.

Romo finished with 279 yards and two touchdowns and a sparkling 112.2 QB rating. DeMarco Murray continues to be a revelation for the Cowboys at the running back position, gaining 139 yards on 22 carries. Dez Bryant and Jason Witten each caught four balls for 76 and 71 yards respectively. The Cowboys won the turnover battle with the Seahawks 3-1.

Tarvaris Jackson threw for 221 yards but accounted for all three Seattle turnovers with interceptions. Marshawn Lynch had a big day on the ground for the Seahawks with 135 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries. Sidney Rice had three catches for 69 yards.

Earlier it was reported that Dallas Cowboys wideout Miles Austin was questionable to return to the game versus the Seattle Seahawks, however per ESPN's Tim McMahon it looks like Austin might be out for more than just Sunday's game.

The Dallas Cowboys piled up 304 yards in the first half against the Seattle Seahawks Sunday, but managed just six points. One reason for that was Dez Bryant’s fumble just inches before he crossed the goal line.

Just in case this season hasn’t been frustrating enough for Cowboys fans, they’ve reached a new mark in their home game against the 2-5 Seattle Seahawks. Dallas has piled up 304 first half yards, including 14-21 for 206 yards from Tony Romo and 86 yards on nine carries (9.6 YPC) from DeMarco Murray, but Dallas sits in their locker room tied 6-6.

The story of the game has been stalled drives deep in Seattle territory, beginning with Dallas’ second drive. They started at their two, thanks to a terrible decision by Dez Bryant to field a punt running sideways just in front of his own goal line, even with Seahawks bearing down on him. Romo drove the Cowboys 96 yards, but the drive stalled at the Seattle two.

Their next drive started similarly as Kevin Ogletree tried his best to repeat Bryant’s return gaffe, and brought the kickoff back to the 12. Eighty-six yards later, Dallas stalled again at the two, settling for a second chip shot. That drive was highlighted by Murray missing a touchdown only because a personal foul facemask brought him down at the one. Three plays from there, though, were utterly fruitless.

Their fourth drive ended on a 3rd-4 conversion with Dez Bryant breaking away, but just before he crossed the goal line, a helmet jarred the ball loose. Seattle recovered to hold the 6-6 tie headed into the break.

If its not one thing, its another for the Dallas Cowboys. Tony Romo connected with Miles Austin along the sideline for a pretty 37-yard completion, then it turned not so pretty for the wide receiver. When Austin careened out of bounds, he rose with a noticeable limp and seemed to be favoring his hamstring. Reports out of Dallas support that observation:
