Much like their rival Longhorns, the Texas A&M Aggies didn’t take the easiest road in their regional or super regional, but they are headed for the College World Series anyway. The Aggies did win two quick games in their College Station Regional, but they lost to Arizona in their first shot at advancing and had to sit through a one-day rain delay before shutting out the Sun Devils and moving on to face national five seed Florida State.

They won the first seed in the Tallahassee Super Regional as well, but they were embarrassed 23-9 in the second game. Things went much more smoothly in the rubber match, as they scored six in the bottom of the first and cruised to an 11-2 clincher behind Michael Wacha and 21 base runners.

They will pair up against the national four seed South Carolina in their CWS opener Sunday. That game will be televised at 6:00 CDT on ESPN2. A win would likely set up a matchup against the top national seed Virginia, assuming that they take care of the cinderella Cal Bears.

The Texas Longhorns are headed back to Omaha for the College World Series. Texas defeated Arizona State on Sunday by a 4-2 margin to complete their Super Regional and advance to the College World Series.

It hasn't been an easy road for the Longhorns, as Texas needed five games to advance out of the regional round before needing three to advance past Arizona State.

Still, it's the result that matters - and the Longhorns are going back to the College World Series.

Texas is slated to face the Florida Gators in their first game in Omaha, which will come on Saturday. The Gators are the No. 2 national seed, so they'll be favored over the No. 7 Longhorns.

Vanderbilt and North Carolina will play earlier in the day on Saturday and officially kickoff the College World Series. Vandy and UNC will start at 1 p.m. CDT while the Longhorns will face off against the Gators at 6 p.m. CDT.

Well, nobody said it was going to be easy for the Dallas Baptist Patriots. The Pats lost their opening Super Regional game, falling 7-0 to the California Golden Bears on Saturday.

Dallas Baptist's offense simply never got going on Saturday, mustering up only three hits against California. Even worse, the Patriots only drew four walks in the contest.

Justin Jones started for the Golden Bears and was credited with the win after pitching six innings, giving up just a hit and a walk while striking out three. Logan Scott pitched three innings for the rare three-inning save, surrendering just two hits while striking out one.

Dallas Baptist's starter Brandon Williamson was hit hard, despite pitching into the eighth inning. Williamson gave up seven runs on 10 hits and a walk while striking out four en route to the loss.

The Patriots will now have to win two games in a row to advance to Omaha for the College World Series. Game 2 will be held on Sunday.

The Texas Longhorns live to fight another day. The Longhorns beat the Arizona State Sun Devils 5-1 in Game 2 of their Super Regional, forcing a decisive third and final game to determine which team is headed to Omaha for the College World Series.

Cole Green turned in a solid start for the Longhorns, despite pitching just five innings. Green gave up one run on six hits and a walk while striking out four en route to the victory.

Corey Knebel was credited with the save after pitching two scoreless innings without allowing a base runner and striking out three.

Offensively for Texas, second baseman Jordan Etier propelled the Longhorns. Etier went 3-4 at the plate with a run scored and three runs batted in - all coming on a ninth inning home run.

Game three will be held on Sunday - and it'll be an elimination game for both teams. The winner of Game 3 will head to Omaha to participate in the College World Series.

The Texas Longhorns have their backs against the wall in the NCAA Baseball Super Regionals. The Longhorns lost last night to the Arizona State Sun Devils 3-1 in the first game of their best-of-three series, giving Arizona State a 1-0 series lead.

Now on Saturday, the Longhorns find themselves in a do-or-die situation. The host Longhorns have to win, otherwise they'll be eliminated - and they'll have to do it without ace Taylor Jungmann on the mound, since Jungmann started last night's game.

The Longhorns have found themselves in a do-or-die position already in the NCAA Baseball tournament, as they had to win out last weekend in the regionals - and they did just that.

Texas, though, will need a good if not great start from Cole Green. The Longhorns' bats will also have to show up as well, as scoring just one run rarely wins ball games.

First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. CDT. Televised coverage can be found on ESPN.

The Dallas Baptist Patriots are one of the surprise teams appearing in the NCAA Baseball Super Regionals, as they won the Fort Worth Regional, defeating Oral Roberts in their final game to advance to the Super Regionals against the California Golden Bears. The best-of-three Super Regional between the Patriots and the Golden Bears gets underway on Saturday night.

Not much is known about the Dallas Baptist Patriots - other than the fact that they weren't supposed to make it out of the regionals. Regardless, they're only two wins away from headed to Omaha for a trip to the College World Series.

The folks over at Baseball America preview this series - and offer some insight into the Dallas Baptist team.

I think it's going to be a little different on the road. I was extremely impressed with the way they won in Fort Worth. They're just going to grind. It's not like you have one guy in the order you have to really watch out for, because 1-9 they're solid. Not like one guy on the mound you really have to beat. The one thing you want to have on the mound is some diversity: go right, go left, show them some different looks, because they have some balance in their order. Anybody they play, I would see games being tight and close. If they were at home, they'd be the favorites because of the style of play. On the road, I don't know, but they'll be in every game, and they'll grind.

We'll see how the Patriots respond to being in California. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. CDT, 5 p.m. PDT. Coverage can be found on ESPNU.

The NCAA Baseball Super Regionals continue on Saturday, with two Texas teams fighting to head to Omaha for the College World Series. The Dallas Baptist Patriots and Texas Longhorns will both be in action on Saturday night, as the Patriots get their series underway and the Longhorns fight for their season.

The Patriots are set to take on the California Golden Bears in the opening game of their series. The game will be held in Santa Clara. First pitch between the Patriots and Golden Bears will be at 7 p.m. CDT, 5 p.m. locally in California. Televised coverage can be found on ESPNU.

The Longhorns, meanwhile, will have their backs up against the wall on Saturday as they face elimination against the Arizona Sun Devils. Texas fell to Arizona State 3-1 in the opening game of their Super Regional on Friday. A win by the Sun Devils would send them to Omaha for the College World Series.

First pitch between the Longhorns and Sun Devils is set for 6 p.m. CDT. Televised coverage can be found on ESPN.

The Austin Super Regional hasn't started as planned for the Texas Longhorns. Texas fell to Arizona State on Friday 3-1, giving the Sun Devils a 1-0 series lead in the best-of-three series.

Texas' bats couldn't seem to get going as Arizona State starting pitcher Brady Rodgers pitched into the seventh inning while only giving up one run. Rodgers allowed just one run on eight hits without issuing a walk and striking out four. Rodgers was credited with the win.

The Longhorns' bats had even less success against reliever Mitchell Lambson, who notched the multi-inning save. Lambson pitched two and a third innings, without giving a hit or a walk. Lambson struck out two.

Texas' ace Taylor Jungmann suffered the loss, giving up three runs (one earned) in seven and a third innings of work. Jungmann allowed just three hits while issuing three walks. Jungmann also struck out three.

Texas and Arizona State will play again on Saturday, at 6 p.m. CDT. The Longhorns need a win to extend the Super Regional.
