It appears that TCU will once again need several losses by contenders to qualify for a BCS title game, after the Horned Frogs ranked fifth in the initial rankings Sunday. The rankings:

1. Oklahoma - .9215
2. Oregon - .8921
3. Boise State - .8898
4. Auburn - .8641
5. TCU - .8571
6. LSU - .8245

TCU leads Boise State in the computer rankings but trails them in both polls. They can make some headway this week with a good performance against an Air Force squad that pushed Oklahoma to the limit, but the key to TCU's season may be a November 9 matchup at #9 Utah. Even with the win, TCU cannot hold off both Auburn and LSU unless both lose, so they will need help in at least three conferences.
