2012 NHL Draft: Start Time, TV Schedule And More

Though the Stanley Cup seemingly just ended, the NHL offseason kicks off in earnest on Friday night. The 2012 NHL Draft will be held, and the future of the league will be shaped will the decisions made by each organization.

Hockey fans will be able to watch the first round of the 2012 NHL Draft on NBC Sports Network, with coverage beginning at 6:00 p.m. CT. As we posted yesterday here at SB Nation Dallas, the Edmonton Oilers will be selecting first overall, and will be on the clock as soon as the draft gets underway.

The Dallas Stars, meanwhile, will have to wait a little bit before they make their first selection of the night. The Stars pick No. 13 overall this year, and have been linked to a slew of players, including Morgan Rielly, Olli Maatta, Zemgus Girgensons and Brendan Gauce.

Rounds two through seven of the NHL Draft will be held on Saturday, beginning at 9:00 a.m. CT on the NHL Network.
