That's A Wrap: Stars Lose Season Finale 3-2 To Blues

The Stars and Blues finally puy on a little bit of offense and excitement as the regular closed down.

The Blues would score their second goal of the game on a power play after a Loui Eriksson tripping penalty. David Perron screened Richard Bachman and tipped in a shot from Alexander Steen. Bachman had no chance of seeing the puck and couldn't stop it from flying by his right elbow.

Ryan Garbutt would continue his great game and score a goal immediately after that, his second of the season. Eriksson put a shot on net that Halak stopped but he couldn't handle the puck. It dribbled out of his glove and he went to the ice and Garbutt pounced on the rebound and put it into the net. It's a well deserved goal for one of the best players in tonight's game. Jordie Benn also recorded an assist on the goal, also his second point of the season.

Perron got his second power play goal of the game a couple of minutes later on the closing minutes of a Blues power play. He got the puck off of a bad Eriksson turnover at center ice and skated along the right-hand boards. When he got near the face-off circle, he just snapped back and sniped it right by Bachman's right shoulder to put the Blues up 3-1.

Philip Larsen put in the Stars second goal of the game with three minutes left in the period. He fired the puck from the right side and an Eric Nystrom screen blocked out Halak's vision and the puck went over his shoulder. It's Larsen's third goal of the season.

The guy that made the biggest impression this game was Brenden Dillon. He looked fantastic this game and definitely deserves a spot on the roster at the beginning of next season.
