The Dallas Stars were officially eliminated from the NHL Western Conference playoffs race with their 2-0 defeat to the Nashville Predators on Thursday. From humble beginnings to emotional highs and lows, the fact of the matter is this Stars team is young and promising. With a lot left to learn and young stars to build around like Kari Lehtonen, Michael Ryder and Mike Ribeiro, things look to be better off in the Winter of 2012.
The Stars will continue their youth movement as they recalled three players from their AHL Texas affiliate on Friday. Defenseman Brenden Dillon and right wing Scott Glennie will make their NHL debuts, while defenseman Jordie Benn will play for the first time since early January.
