Stars Vs. Sharks, Final Score: Dallas Wins Again, 4-3 In Shootout

Center Tomas Vincour kept the Dallas Stars' amazing 8-0-1 run alive on Thursday night by scoring the game tying goal against San Jose with under two minutes in the third period, followed by the only goal in an overtime shootout to give Dallas the 4-3 win, two points, and a larger lead in the Pacific Division.

Vincour's regulation goal was the fourth in the third period after the teams entered the second intermission tied 1-1. San Jose's Patrick Marleau hit a wrister just 27 seconds into third, but the Stars would answer with a 20-foot wrister of their own from Jamie Benn. Dallas played without Steve Ott, who missed the game due to back spasms, and had previously played in 50 consecutive games.

The win gives Dallas 79 points and the overtime loss gives San Jose 75, giving Dallas a four point cushion between eighth place in the West as a wildcard, and third place as the division leader.
