Stars Vs. Canucks: Game Preview, TV Info And More

Dallas is just one point ahead of Phoenix and L.A. in the Pacific Division. Vancouver comes stumbling into American Airlines Arena, hoping to beat the Stars for the first time this season.

Presswire

The Stars and Canucks will meet for the third of four games this season Thursday in Dallas, with the Stars enjoying a 2-0 lead in the season series (outscoring the Canucks 8-4), and hoping their hot streak continues (Dallas is 7-2-1 in their last ten) to keep their Pacific rivals at bay in the NHL playoff race.

The Stars allowed Phoenix to come back from a 3-1 deficit in the third period before finally shutting out the Coyotes in a 4-3 shootout win Tuesday. That extra point for Phoenix kept the Pacific Division battle perilously close - Dallas has 85 points, ahead of L.A. (84), Phoenix (84) and San Jose (82). The difference between first and second place in the division is a No. 3 seed and a No. 8 seed.
