2nd Intermission Report: Dallas Stars 0 - Chicago Blackhawks 2

This was a period where literally nothing happened. The game bogged down as neither team could get scoring chances or even shots on goal.

Both teams were in a standoff until the last five minutes of the period when the Stars got a flurry of shots on goal. Dallas had a great chance to score a goal when a massive scrum ensued right in front of Corey Crawford but the Stars just couldn't get the puck past him.

The Stars were much better this period. They actually looked alive and were dishing out the hits and fighting for pucks, things that just weren't happening in the first period. They were very limited in scoring chances though and need to find better ways of getting the puck towards Corey Crawford with some scoring intent.

Too many of the shots right now are from far away and those are easy for Crawford right now. He stopped all 11 shots that he faced.

No penalties were called this period.
