That's a Wrap: Kari Lehtonen, Stars shutout the Wild 1-0

The wins keep on rolling in for Dallas as they shutout the Minnesota Wild 1-0. This one was a bit closer that anticipated but it’s one that the Stars will certainly take.

Kari Lehtonen was incredible in this game, stopping all 25 shots that he faced.
There were multiple point blank shots that he just stuffed, including one with just three seconds left in the game that sealed it for Dallas. He was easily the first star of the game and has now recorded back-to-back shutouts.

Dallas got the first and only goal of the game from Jamie Benn four minutes into the period. Brenden Morrow flew down the right wing and passed cross ice to a wide open Benn. Benn had an easy shot that he calmly put by Matt Hackett. Steve Ott also had a good play as he raced down the middle of the ice to draw defenders to him, freeing up Benn for that shot.

This win wasn’t very pretty, but it helps set up Dallas for another winnable game tomorrow against the Winnipeg Jets.

Dallas gets up to 83 points with the win tonight. It keeps them four points ahead of the Phoenix Coyotes for the division lead.
