That's A Wrap: Stars Shutout Ducks, Win 2-0

Dallas continues to put points on the board, making it 9-0-1 in the last 10 games after shutting out the Anaheim Ducks 2-0. Brenden Morrow got the game winner in the second period on a PP goal and Michael Ryder got his 30th goal of the season with an empty netter to salt the game away.

The Stars were never really in any danger during this game as the Ducks couldn’t get any offense going. Anaheim only managed 21 shots on goal and only three or four of those gave Kari Lehtonen any trouble. Kari stopped all 21 of those shots and got his third shutout of the season.

Dallas could have had four or five goals but Ducks’ goalie Jonas Hiller was solid as well. He stopped 21 of 22 shots that he saw.

The win puts Dallas at 81 points on the season, still one point ahead of the Phoenix Coyotes, who beat the San Jose Sharks today 3-0. The Stars return to the ice on Tuesday in Minnesota to face the Wild.
