The Dallas Stars are the hottest team in hockey, vaulting from the cusp of a fourth straight season out of the playoffs to the Western Conference's No. 3 seed, thanks to a four point lead in the Pacific Division standings on a 7-0-1 run in their last eight games.

If anything slows the Stars down, it could be some key injuries. After playing in 40 consecutive games for Dallas, left winger Steve Ott missed Thursday's win over San Jose with back spasms, and is listed as questionable for Saturday night's game. Out for certain will be defenseman Sheldon Souray (lower body).

Dallas currently has a nine point advantage over the Ducks, who sit at No. 12 in the Western Conference standings.
