Stars Vs. Canadiens Final Score: Dallas Gets Closer To Playoff Spot With 3-0 Win

The Dallas Stars are now just a point shy of the eighth and final playoff spot in the NHL's Western Conference after grabbing two points in a 3-0 win at Montreal Wednesday night. Kari Lehtonen had 31 saves and former Hab Mike Ribeiro had a goal as the Stars gained ground on Calgary and Los Angeles (both with 65 points) in the playoff race.

Rookie Ryan Gabutt scored his first NHL goal since being called up to start the scoring late in the first period, while Montreal couldn't muster much of anything on offense, blowing four power play opportunities to try and tie the game in the second period. Ribeiro, a Montreal native who played for the Canadiens for four seasons, made it 2-0 and the Stars cruised.
