Stars Trade Top Defenseman Nicklas Grossman To Flyers For Future Draft Picks

The Dallas Stars got some extra draft picks over the next two seasons from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for defenseman Nicklas Grossman.

The Dallas Stars, in a move that puts them in a better position for the next couple seasons, have traded their top defenseman, Nicklas Grossman, to the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2012 NHL draft and a third-round pick in the 2013 draft.

The Stars take the ice tonight to face the Flames at home and are sitting in 11th place in the Western Conference as the league enters the last couple months of the 2011-2012 season, and the Flyers, who are in fourth place in the Eastern Conference, have a much better chance to use Grossman in the playoffs.
