The Stars are currently in third place in the Western Conference's Pacific Division and the Predators are in fourth place in the Central Division. Dallas is coming off a 5-4 loss to the Detroit Red Wings at home and the Predators are coming off a 5-3 win over the Calgary Flames at home.
Dallas is led in points by left winger Jamie Benn, who has 37, and they're led in goals by right winger Michael Ryder, who has scored 17. Nashville is led in points by defenseman Shea Weber, who has 29, and they're led in scoring by David Legwand, who has scored 10 goals.
This is the second time that the Stars will play Nashville this season. They hosted the Predators on Dec. 23 and defeated them by a score of 6-3.
