Brad Richards Will Not Play Tonight For Stars Against Ducks

Stars fans will have to wait at least another game to see Brad Richards take the ice. Richards did not skate this morning and will not play tonight in Anaheim when the Stars take on the Ducks.

According to Mike Heika, here’s what Richards had to say:

Here’s Richards on how he felt after a full practice skate Thursday in Arizona and why he did not skate this morning:

``I’m supposed to talk to the docs today, and I’m day to day. Coming back after one practice in three weeks realistically wouldn’t be the smartest thing anyway with three games in four nights…It was a step forward yesterday, but it’s not a knee and I have to be a little smarter than that. You don’t want to get too overanxious.’’

``It’s just how do you feel, and it didn’t feel 100 percent. All week, everything felt great every day, but yesterday didn’t feel as great as it usually did after just skating on my own. We’re just monitoring it, and I’ll talk to the docs, and it’s day to day.’’

It remains possible that Richards will play Saturday when Dallas takes on San Jose, but it’s just that – a possibility.
