The Dallas Stars will end the month of November trying something new, that new is being without goaltender Kari Lehtonen. Lehtonen will miss at least three weeks with a groin injury after suffering the injury in the first period of Saturday’s game against the Phoenix Coyotes. Lehtonen immediately flew back to Dallas over the weekend and had an MRI, doctors have concluded that Lehtonen will miss a minimum of eight games, including the Stars upcoming five-game road trip.
Andrew Raycroft is the next man up in the pipes for the Stars, as losing seven of their last nine games has killed all of the positive momentum and maybe the backup goalie can be the spark that the Stars have solely needed.
Maybe.
Here is the full injury report for the Stars this week, with Vernon Fiddler's status up in the air for Monday's game versus Colorado.
