The Dallas Stars finally hit the wall last week, as losses against two of the best teams in the NHL in Detroit and Pittsburgh served as a learning opportunity for the young squad. Lessons were learned and now is the opportunity to put that education to use as the Stars host Florida and San Jose this week. The Stars will travel to Colorado on Friday.
Some perspective on the last two games from ESPN's Scott Burnside:
The Stars appeared a bit weary in Detroit on Saturday, as they lost for the second time in 24 hours. But those two losses shouldn't blunt the enthusiasm surrounding this solid hockey club, which continues to hold down first place in the Pacific Division.
The Stars are now 11-5 and in first place in the Pacific Division.
