Stars Schedule: Dallas Takes On Columbus To Complete Homestand

The Stars look to improve on their hot start against the lowly Blue Jackets on Saturday.

The Dallas Stars will look to continue their strong start to the 2011-12 NHL season by finishing their homestand this weekend with a game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night.

The Stars will look to improve on a 3-1-0 record that has them on top of the Pacific Division by taking down the winless Jackets, who are 0-3-1 and in last place in both the Central Division and the Western Conference. And they may be able to refine their offensive approach, which Defending Big D labeled "conservative":

After four games we unequivocally know one thing about the 2012 Dallas Stars: they give up a ton of shots, and most nights they're going to get outshot. Despite the egregious shot totals the Stars are 3-1 through four games so something somewhere is working. You can call it luck if you like. The idea supporting luck is that if a team continues to get outshot at the rate the Stars are eventually they will be in a world of pain.
