Stars Return Home, Hanging On 3-2 Over Blues

The Dallas Stars are ready for their three game homestand versus Phoenix, St. Louis and Columbus this week.

The Dallas Stars (1-1) will begin game one of a three-game homestand at American Airlines Arena as the Phoenix Coyotes (0-1) come to town. Game time is at 6:00 p.m. Last season the Stars had a 4-2 record against the playoff bound Coyotes, who finished with the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference playoffs before losing in the quarterfinals to the Detroit Red Wings in a four game sweep.

Kari Lehtonen is expected to start in the pipes tonight, after backup Andrew Raycroft gave up 4 goals in Saturday's contest. in stopping 37 shots and giving up a meaningless goal by Nick Leddy with just 13.6 seconds remaining, Lehtonen looks to keep his mojo rolling.

The Stars traded a win and loss with the Chicago Blackhawks in a home and home on Friday and Saturday. Sheldon Souray, Alex Goligosky, and Jaime Benn have all registered points for Dallas in their first two games thus far.

The Stars will then host the St. Louis Blues and Columbus Blue Jackets, on Thursday and Saturday respectively.
