The Dallas Mavericks struck out on convincing Deron Williams to leave New Jersey and then watched as Jason Kidd signed with the Knicks. The Mavericks' need for a point guard interests free agent Ramon Sessions who is looking for a new team after splitting 2012 between Cleveland and Los Angeles.
Sessions has interest in Dallasand Houston because of potential to start.

Sessions was acquired in a trade by the Lakers last season and served as the team's starting point guard. After the Lakers acquired Steve Nash this offseason returning to L.A. was no longer an option for Sessions In 23 games with the Lakers last season Sessions averaged 12.7 points and 6.2 assists. In all he played in 64 games and averaged 11.3 points and 5.5 assists.
