Not long after Dallas native Deron Williams spurned the hometown Mavericks to stay with the Brooklyn Nets, some of the reasons are coming out.
Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports reports that Brooklyn's trade for Joe Johnson gave Williams the push to stay with the Nets.

While the Nets were criticized for picking up the questionable contract of Johnson, the decision appears to have paid off two-fold. Meanwhile, the Mavericks are missing out on big names, as well as losing players.
