Dwight Howard Trade Rumors: Donnie Nelson Met With Magic GM Rob Hennigan

Dwight Howard to the Dallas Mavericks seems like the most likely scenario at this point in the saga that's lasted over a year now with the Magic center. FOXSportsSouthwest.com reported on Monday that Mavs general manager Donnie Nelson met with Magic GM Rob Hennigan last week to discuss trade possibilities and the two parties are likely to talk again soon.

It was made clear through media reports that once the deal to send Howard to the Brooklyn Nets fell through, the Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers were the only two teams he had any desire to play for, with the Rockets desperately trying to become apart of that conversation.

Howard has said that if he is traded to the Rockets (or anywhere he doesn't prefer), he'll likely bolt to the Dallas. This is interesting for Dallas, though, because if they know they have a good chance to land Howard in free agency, why give up any pieces for him?
