Mavericks Schedule Highlights

When do Kobe and LeBron come to town? What about the returns of Jason Terry, Jason Kidd and Brendan Haywood? (Not so much on the last one). A quick look at the 2012-2013 schedule.

Presswire

October 30 -- (at LA Lakers) Steve Nash will look weird in a Laker uniform. He'll look even weirder dumping the ball into Kobe and spotting up for 30 minutes a night.

November 3 -- (vs. Charlotte Bobcats) The home opener. As @jose3030 would say: Brendan Haywood Back! You never want to overreact to one game, but dropping this one wouldn't exactly be a great sign for the new-look Mavericks.

November 21 -- (vs. New York Knicks) Everyone will have to pretend they wanted Kidd to return. It will be like whenever Caron Butler or JJ Barea come back.

November 24 -- (vs. LA Lakers) Always a big deal.

December 1 -- (vs. Detroit Pistons) An undercover interesting team to see in person. There isn't a human being on Earth bigger and more athletic than Andre Drummond. Think about that.

December 5 -- (at LA Clippers) Lamar Odom gets his chance to make a statement on national TV.

December 12 -- (at Boston Celtics) Their first game against Jason Terry and the Boston Celtics.

December 20 -- (vs. Miami Heat) LeBron returns to the scene of his greatest failure.

December 30 -- (vs. San Antonio Spurs) How can you hate them anymore? They're old, they're fun to watch and they aren't going to win another title.

January 18 -- (vs. Oklahoma City Thunder) Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook return to the American Airlines Center for the first time since last year's curb-stomping.

February 20 -- (vs. Orlando Magic) If Dwight Howard is still in an Orlando uniform at this point, it will be a good sign for Dallas.

March 20 -- (vs. Brooklyn Nets) Losing out on Deron Williams adds some pizzazz to this one. I think it's best if Mavericks fans pretend the whole thing never happened -- playing the scorned woman is never a good look.

March 22 -- (vs. Boston Celtics) I hope they bust out the Jason Terry "Mr. 4rth Quarter" videos. I love how hard the Jet acts when he really has the game of Jeff Hornacek.

March 26 -- (vs. LA Clippers) Lammy Odom! I wonder what his reception will be like at the American Airlines Center.

March 30 -- (vs. Chicago Bulls) Dallas fans may miss out on Derrick Rose two years in a row if his knee isn't fully healed.

April 17 -- (vs. New Orleans Hornets) The last game of the season is a chance to check out the Tarantula arms, spindly wingspan and unique facial hair choices of one Anthony Davis.
