NBA Free Agency: Jason Terry Will Allow Dallas Mavericks To Match Any Offer

Jason Terry has held firm to his word that he prefers to play for the Dallas Mavericks next season, and he made that even more clear as sources tell The Dallas Morning News that he will allow his old team to match any offer he receives.

As with the rest of the Mavericks offseason, though, everything hinges on whether they can sign Deron Williams.

"If you look at the top teams, they all have two or three guys you can just throw the ball to and make plays," Dirk Nowitzki said. "We need another guy you can get the ball to and can make stuff happen for himself. He’s a great pick-and-roll player, he can break down the defenses on his drive, he’s a good 3-point shooter, so we feel like he’s got a lot of weapons he can bring to the team."

Terry will be one of the many dominoes that fall after that decision.
