NBA Las Vegas Summer League 2012: Mavericks Earn 85-75 Win Over Raptors

Dominique Jones scored 21 as the Mavericks moved to 2-0 in the summer league with an 85-75 win over the Raptors.

The Mavs led early and a dominant second quarter was enough to hold off Toronto in the second half. Jones shot 6-for-12 in 32 minutes, along with four assists and three rebounds. Rookie center Bernard James was solid, turning in a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds in 28 minutes.

Rookie forward Jae Crowder scored 15 points on 5-for-12 shooting in 30 minutes, as well as grabbing four rebounds.

The Mavericks led 24-21 after the first quarter and broke the game open with a 26-9 edge in the second quarter. As a team, the Mavs shot 48.5 percent and held the Raptors to 42.9 percent shooting. Dallas had a 37-29 rebounding edge.
