While Dallas has been extremely busy in the last week, they still have around $4 million in salary cap room left. And if they lose out on the amnesty bidding for Luis Scola, they'll have enough money to add one more contributor.
One name that they are reportedly interested in is OJ Mayo, the former Memphis Grizzlies shooting guard who was the No. 3 overall pick in 2008:

Mayo hasn't accomplished much as fellow 2008 draftees like Russell Westbrook, Derrick Rose and Kevin Love, but he's an accomplished player in his own right. He's not an elite athlete at 6'4 210, but he's an excellent shooter (36% from deep) who can create his own shot off the dribble (16.9 points per 36 minutes) and swing between both back-court positions on either side of the ball.
He's a slightly better version of current Maverick Delonte West, and he'd help Dallas, especially if he's willing to take a one-year deal.
Young players looking for their second NBA contract (and first without the rookie-wage scale) tend to go after money in free agency, but the Phoenix Suns are the only team on that list with the cap room to make him a substantial offer.
If he's more interested in a one-year deal on a playoff contender where he could rehabilitate some of his market value, the Mavericks would be a good fit for him.
