Mavericks Free Agency: Dallas Interested In Anthony Randolph, According To Report

The Dallas Mavericks are reportedly interested in former Minnesota big man Anthony Randolph. The Timberwolves chose not to tender Randolph a qualifying offer therefore making him an unrestricted free agent.

Randolph is a local product who starred at Woodrow Wilson High School. He was the 14th pick of the Golden State Warriors in the 2008 draft. He appeared in 34 games for the Wizards in 2012 averaging 7.4 points and 3.6 rebounds. Randolph had shown a lot of promise the season before when he scored 11.7 points and 5.2 board in 23 games after being acquired in a trade from the New York Knicks.

Randolph is still young at 22 years of age and at 6-foot-10 has taken on a similar path of the Mavs' Brandan Wright who revived his career in Dallas during the 2012 season.
