With the 20120 NBA free agency period ready to start Sunday at midnight, rumors are starting pick up steam and in some cases, become completely out of control.
The Dallas Mavericks have long been talked about as a possible landing spot for free-agent-to-be Deron Williams, but there hasn't been even the slightest whisper of another New York point guard.
Jeremy Lin could be on Dallas' radar, according to Hoopsworld.com. With Jason Kidd ready to leave town and a gaping hole at the position, Lin could be a very attractive option for Mark Cuban to pursue if the right moment presents itself.
Lin is slated to become a restricted free agent on July 1, with almost every expectation the New York Knicks will lock him up for the foreseeable future. However until that happens any team has the right to extend an offer, with the Knicks having the ability to match.
It will be very interesting to see how everything unfolds come Sunday.
