Dallas Mavericks Offseason 2012: Dirk Nowitzki Still Thinks It's '50-50' On Deron Williams Signing

With July approaching, Deron Williams is bound to make a decision on his NBA future pretty soon, but don't count on Dirk Nowitzki for any insight on the free agent choice of his possible future teammate. The sentiment around the NBA is that Williams is likely to return to the Nets, perhaps to attract the attention of Dwight Howard in the next offseason.

However it goes, Nowitzki doesn't know anything. That's what he told ESPN Dallas 103.3 FM.

"I still think it's 50-50. I just don't know."

A lot is riding on Williams' decision, like whether or not Jason Kidd sticks around.

Williams is from the area and playing with the Mavericks would be an unquestionable upgrade from playing with the units he's played with in New Jersey for the past couple of years.
