2012 NBA Draft: Dallas Mavericks To Work Out Kendall Marshall

With the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago now finished and the 2012 NBA Draft only weeks away, teams are beginning to bring in prospects for a closer look at their facilities.

One player the Dallas Mavericks have been linked to is UNC PG Kendall Marshall, and the Mavericks are one of the many teams Marshall is slated to visit this week:

With Jason Kidd nearing 40, PG is an area of need for Dallas. However, it's one of the weakest positions in this draft, as Damian Lillard (Weber State) is the only one with the potential to be a top-level starter.

Marshall, for now, is considered the second best PG in the draft. While he has excellent size (6'4 200) and floor vision, his subpar athleticism and scoring ability would not be a great fit on a Dallas team desperately in need of shot-creating and slashing ability.
