NBA Western Conference Standings: Mavericks Drop To No. 6 Seed After Loss To Clippers

The Mavericks had a chance on Monday night to get within a half-game of the Clippers for the No. 4 spot in the Western Conference playoff race, but instead the Mavericks offense failed to show up and fell 94-75 to no be 2.5 games behind the Clippers for home court advantage.

The Mavericks now are in the No. 6 spot as the Memphis Grizzlies pulled off the upset against the Oklahoma City Thunder to stay ahead of the Mavericks. There are still 12 games left in the regular season, and the Mavericks can not afford any type of slide or they could find themselves on the outside of the playoff race as they are only 2.5 games ahead of the Utah Jazz who are currently the No. 9 team in the West.
