2012 NBA Standings: Home Court Is Likely Out Of Reach For Mavericks

With the Mavericks loss to the Lakers on Sunday, home court advantage for the Mavericks is likely not going to happen. Dallas is sitting 3.5 games behind the Clippers with only five games left in the regular season. It seems that the Mavericks are likely going to be at best the No. 5 seed once the season ends in a week and a half.

There is a small chance that the Mavericks could fall out of the playoff race all together as they are 2.5 games ahead of the Phoenix Suns, but with only a handful of games left that seems unlikely.
