With Dallas one of three teams in a tie for sixth place in the Western Conference, every game, especially those against sub-.500 teams, has become crucial at this point in the season.

On Thursday, the Mavericks have a golden opportunity to make a move up the standings when they travel to Oakland to play the Golden State Warriors.

Golden State, whose first round pick is only protected in to the top 7, has already shut down Stephen Curry and Andrew Bogut.

However, the Warriors have already beaten Dallas this year, a 111-87 pasting on March 10, which was the third night of a back-to-back-to-back.

The Mavericks, meanwhile, will try to continue their strong offensive play from Tuesday, when a balanced scoring attack led them by the Sacramento Kings 110-100.

Without Lamar Odom, Dallas will have a tough time matching up with David Lee, as the 6'9 240 power forward, who had 25 points and 9 rebounds in their last meeting, is too fast for Dirk Nowitzki and Brendan Haywood and too strong for Brandan Wright and Shawn Marion.

The 9:30 PM game will be televised nationally on TNT.
