Vince Carter: Half-Man Half-Amazing In Three Minutes

In a previous life, Dallas Mavericks swingman Vince Carter was dubbed "Half-Man Half-Amazing" for his aerial exploits.

In their 110-100 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night, Carter was a little of both.

Three minutes later, perhaps chastened by an air ball that had the entire American Airlines Center groaning, Carter brought back the amazing:

For some perspective, Hassan Whiteside is 7'0 235 with a 7'7 wingspan and a 31' vertical. A second round pick in 2010, he was drafted after one lackluster year at Marshall primarily because he's really tall and he can jump really high.

With Lamar Odom no longer on the team, the Mavericks are going to need Carter's shot-creating ability at the small forward position. Not a bad start, but he might want to shelve the finger roll for the time being.
