Ian Mahinmi replaced Haywood in the lineup and leads the team with 13 points at the half.
Dirk Nowitzki added 10 points and Jason Terry pitched in nine off the bench for the Mavericks who hit 50 percent of their field goal attempts.
Russell Westbrook leads Oklahoma City with 11 points and three assists while Kevin Durant has eight. Kendrick Perkins has seven points and eight rebounds in the first half.
The Thunder hit 41 percent of their shots in the first half.
