The Dallas Mavericks will host their in-state rivals the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night. Both teams are in the thick of the playoff race, although the Rockets are fighting to capture the final postseason berth in the Western Conference.
Both teams are coming off wins, but have been playing more or less .500 ball over the past couple of weeks. The home court advantage may end up being the key to a Mavs win on Tuesday. Dallas is 18-8 while playing at American Airlines Center, while the Rockets are a woeful 8-16 on the road. Dallas would like nothing more than to improve their playoff position while playing the spoiler for Houston.
Tuesday night's game will tip off at 8:30 p.m. ET at the American Airlines Center. The game will be televised on FOX-SW.
