After losing six consecutive road games, the longest streak since Dirk Nowitzki came to Dallas in 1999, the Dallas Mavericks hit a low-point Friday in a 110-97 shellacking from the Sacramento Kings that wasn't even as close as the score.
After the game, Jason Terry, whose been on the bench in the final moments in several games during the streak, had some choice words about the defending NBA champions play this year:
"I don’t know about the frustration level, but it’s time for change. You can only look at something for so long and you’re getting the same result. So at what point are you going to change or are you going to ride it out?
"I’m here. I’m here to do my job. As far as somebody else, I can’t speak for them, I got to speak for myself. If it sounds selfish, it is what it is. We’re not a team out there right now. It shows, so until we become a team and play together on both ends of the court we’re not going to be very good."
With a huge pack of teams battling for position behind the Oklahoma City Thunder in the West, Dallas is sitting precariously after their recent skid. They are only 4 games behind San Antonio at No. 2, but they are also only 4 games ahead of Phoenix at No. 12.
