The Dallas Mavericks more forward to the second half of the regular season with a 21-13 record and a team that is figuring out new ways to win this season. While many players look forward to the All-Star weekend for a break in the schedule and a chance to get away from the basketball court, the next big calendar date has been circled by general managers and head coaches all across the NBA.
The NBA's trade deadline is on March 15th, and the Mavericks have told everyone that they are not looking to make any deals. Sure, they'll listen to offers for Rodrigue Beaubois, but the wheeling and dealing that everyone has come to love from Mark Cuban doesn't seem to be coming out next month. Many have speculated that the Mavericks are waiting until the end of the season to make a move at Deron Williams and Dwight Howard, but is this current squad constructed to adequately defend their title?
The countdown has already begun, 17 days and counting. Here is the schedule for the Mavericks for the next 5 games, including a big game versus Oklahoma City next Monday.
