NBA Standings 2012: Mavericks Still Second In Southwest Division

Dallas' 104-97 loss to the Knicks on Sunday drops the Mavericks two and a half games behind the San Antonio Spurs in the Southwest division standings. Dallas is two games in front of the suddenly hot Memphis Grizzlies who have won four straight and two and a half in front of the Rockets who have cooled off in recent days.

A quick look at the conference standings sees the Mavericks in the fourth spot in the west. Dallas is four games behind Oklahoma City and trails the Clippers by just a half game for third place. Dallas has a one game lead over the Lakers who are in the No. 5 spot in the conference.
